we interrupt this blog for a test of the emergency operating system

Okay I need help. See the big picture up there? How do I make it centered? I've tried resizing but it still goes off to the side. And how do I put captions with my photos? Experienced bloggers, please reply. Don't be shy!

We now return to your regularly scheduled programming. Read posts below. Comment with abandon!

  1. Hi Mary!
I've found it to be a lot of trial and error. For example, the main photo - when I placed mine it too was all over the place. Too big, then it slide off the side.
I have a photoshop-like program that i was able to actual cut and scale the photo to the specs of blogger. I forget off the top of my head what that was but I went into the blogger forum and asked somebody. Once I knew the exact size, it was pretty easy to shift it into place.
As for captions, that's tricky. Again, I have a program where I could place the caption into the actual photo if I wanted. But then you have to deal with font color and putting captions over the photos and I don't like to worry about that. My captions either go directly under a photo if it's a large one, or if it's a small photo I move the photo to the left, and put a caption to its right.
You can treat captions like you would text. Just think of the line directly under a photo as the caption photo. Then I set them off with italics to make it clear it's a caption and that seems to work ok.
Does any of this make sense?
